The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood

The Knitting Circle is the story of Mary, a forty-something woman who is recovering from the devastating loss of her 5 year old daughter, Stella. On the advice of her mother she joins a knitting circle as a way to keep both her hands and her mind busy. Here she meets six other women who, through the course of the novel, reveal their own stories and personal tragedies and in so doing guide and accompany Mary on her journey through the grieving process.
